A few days ago a colleague asked me about a cheap mobile phone (200, 250 Euro) with good features. I didn’t know where to go. Recently it was possible to buy the balance cheaply and the best example was last year’s POCO X3 Pro. in just a few months mobile market turns to more complex terrainwith features cut in the “mid” ranges and prices that bring us closer to the high ranges.
Although we have solvent options, it’s enough to consult our Chinaware and put the top up at 250 Euros to see how it goes. bargain mobile disappearThere are no longer any winners or phones that shine on specs at this price point.
There have always been certain psychological barriers when buying a mobile phone. Until recently, you had an entry range of less than 200 euros.. You had the mid-range between 200 and 400, and upwards of 500 euros were pretty premium offerings without reaching the specs of 1,000 euros mobiles.
But something is going on with the features. The new POCO X4 Pro came in at 299 euros and with much less power. With AMOLED and better cameras yes, but far from the bargains of the previous model. There are interesting competitors like the Realme 9 for 249 euros (although its PVP is almost 300 euros), but it still has a very weak processor (Snapdragon 680).
These are just some examples Endless list of mobile phones around or above 300 Euros and, in its current context, features significantly lower than the quality-price offerings of past generations.
With brands that have traditionally offered impressive quality-price offerings, we must spend significant money to get a truly competitive middle class. A Redmi Note 11 Pro goes for 349 euros, the POCO F4 now starts at 449 euros (it has the same processor and screen as the predecessor), the newcomer to Europe V23 from Vivo goes to 499 euros…
Between 350 and 500 euros for the best middle class, we have processors and cameras closer to the entry range for less money. MediaTek’s rise in the mid-range and Unisoc’s recent entry (more and more available) are shifting Qualcomm’s 7XX series towards increasingly expensive mobile phones.
In addition to power, camera, and overall qualities, the main obstacle separating high ranges from lower ranges is in the lifecycle. Manufacturers use cell phones that are at the top of their catalogs better and longer. The most basic user should have no doubt: cheap mobile, walk or walk.
But whoever wants a quality-priced cell phone is in a position to consider, at least at the moment. a generation or two ago. My colleague Javier Pastor recently bought a P40 Pro+ before going any further (I know, no Google services, but the example may apply to other high-end products from a few years ago), for less than the cost of an existing midrange.
The decision rests with each user. What is clear is that apart from special offers and bargains that only last a few hours, mobile bargaining is in danger of extinction.
