Samsung is preparing to launch Samsung W23 series flagship smartphones exclusive to the Chinese market. The first smartphone of this series (W699) was released in 2008. Since then, Samsung has released a generation each year in collaboration with local cellular operator China Telecom.
China’s Ice Universe has released a promotional poster for the Samsung W23 with the slogan “Heart Touching the World”. It is also stated that the smartphone will be launched on October 21 this year. This year the W23 lineup is expected to include the W23 and W23 Flip models, which will be based on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 respectively.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 uses a 6.2-inch external OLED display with a resolution of 2316×904 pixels that supports variable refresh rate up to 120 Hz. The internal screen is 7.6 inches diagonal with a resolution of 2176×1812 pixels and a frequency of 120 Hz.
Galaxy Z Flip 4 is more compact: it is equipped with a main 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a frequency of 120 Hz, and the diagonal of the external display is only 1.9 inches.
