The laptop will be equipped with a front-facing webcam with 720p resolution and Windows Hello support. Microsoft also introduced support for Thunderbolt 4 and other ports, including USB-A, Surface Connect, and a headphone jack.

This chip belongs to the 11th generation Core processors (Tiger Lake) and was released in January 2021. It is unclear why the company did not use the processor of a newer series such as Alder Lake.

- The Surface Pro 9 merges the Surface Pro and Surface Pro X lines.
