The recently introduced Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition smartphone is distinguished by an incredibly powerful 210-watt charger. Xiaomi promises to charge the battery in 9 minutes. In reality, everything is a little different. Charger Labs employees tested the Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition, and it turns out that it takes 10 minutes and 10 seconds to fully charge the battery, whose capacity is only 4300 mAh. Relatively, this is 20% longer than promised, but in reality the difference cannot be said to be significant.
Tests have shown that in the case of the Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition, the peak power developed by the charger actually does not correspond to the declared one. Approximately 184 W instead of 210 W.
But what can be praised is the temperature mode: the smartphone is heated to a maximum of 43.3 degrees, which can be called a good result for such a charging power. As a reminder, in China, the Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition costs $335 for a single version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of flash memory. Source
