Huawei is preparing to launch a new variant of the folding smartphone P50 Pocket S in China on November 2. But before the official announcement, a new leak revealed live footage, storage options, and even the price of the upcoming device.
The news came from a post on Weibo. Looking at the internet post, the tipster shared an image of the P50 Pocket S model along with some interesting details about the device. It looks like the new foldable smartphone will be available in two memory configurations. This includes 8GB+128GB. In addition, the speaker also shared the possible price of the new smartphone.
The 8GB + 256GB variant will reportedly be priced around RMB 5,988 (about US$820). On the other hand, the leaker also claimed that the 128GB variant could cost around RMB 5,488 or RMB 6,488 (roughly $752 or $888). Unfortunately, that was all the information about the foldable smartphone Huawei P50 Pocket S. The image shared in this post only shows a small part of the device kept folded. Notably, an earlier leak hinted at pricing for the 256GB and 512GB variants (costing RMB 4,999 and RMB 6,999 respectively), but the latest leak claims no 512GB model.
As far as we know so far, the P50 Pocket S is a more affordable version of the previously released P50 Pocket. As such, it will reportedly be powered by the Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset. It will also have a foldable 120Hz OLED display that bends like a clamshell. Note that these price sources and storage options are currently only a leak and are not official.
