The OnePlus Nord CE 2 was unveiled earlier this year, and the affordable smartphone’s successor seems to be just around the corner. According to the report, OnePlus is working on the Nord CE 3 5G, which could launch in the first or second quarter of next year. The report also revealed all the specs of the upcoming Nord phone.
Tipster OnLeaks, in collaboration with GadgetGang, has revealed all the specs of the alleged OnePlus Nord CE 3 5G. The phone is said to bring minor updates to the Nord series, with an internal structure reminiscent of this year’s CE 2 Lite.
According to the report, Nord CE 3 will be powered by Snapdragon 695 SoC, which is also used in Nord CE 2 Lite 5G. While this chipset doesn’t have a lot of power, it should be enough for most users. On the front, the phone is said to have a 6.7-inch Full HD+ 120Hz IPS display that is certainly larger, but not better, than the 6.43-inch Nord CE 2 – the latter has an AMOLED panel.
Additionally, the Nord CE 3 is said to come with a larger 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. For photography, the phone could have a triple camera setup on the back that includes a 108MP primary camera sensor and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro photography. The lack of ultra-wide will likely upset some readers.
Additionally, the phone could have a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calling. It will be equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as support for artificial face recognition. The report says that the smartphone will be launched in two memory configurations. The base model will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, while the top-end model will have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
