Motorola is updating more and more related devices to the latest version of the Android 12-based operating system. Earlier this week, the Moto G200 5G received an update to Android 12, and now the company has rolled out an Android 12 update for the Moto G50.

To clarify, the device receiving this update is the Snapdragon 480-based Moto G50, not the Moto G50 5G that comes with the Dimensity 700 SoC. According to the XDAdevelopers report, the update comes with build number S1RF32.27-25 and is currently available in the UK for the XT2137-1-DS. So far, the update has not rolled out in other regions, but it’s only a matter of time.

While the Motorola software update page says the Android 12 update for the Moto G50 has yet to launch, a stable build is already available through the company’s Recovery and Smart Assistant Tool. Therefore, users in the UK can expect the Android 12-based MY UX collection to appear on their devices soon via OTA. Users can also immediately get the latest update using the Recovery tool and manually install it using their PC. But if you are not familiar with the firmware of operating systems on Android, we do not recommend going manually.

The Android 12 My UX update will bring new features such as the Material You theme engine, updated message bar, privacy bar, camera and microphone indicators in use, and more. You can also read the full list of Motorola devices compatible with Android 12 by clicking this link.
