Massive Pixel Fold leak reveals price and release date

While many Android fans have already moved on to the recently launched Pixel 7 series smartphones (starting at $596 on Amazon), tech geeks looking for a fresh new form factor have likely turned their attention to Google’s long-rumored flagship. . Pixel Fold, which revealed many important details about the price, release date and general design of the first foldable smartphone developed by Google with the understandable ‘Passport’ code name, has now come to light.

John Prosser, host of the popular YouTube channel Front Page Tech, has posted a related video featuring numerous high-quality photos of the Google Pixel Fold. The leaker claims to be very confident that the metal and glass design shown in these images, some of which are also embedded at the bottom of this article, actually shows the final design of the upcoming foldable search giant. If he’s right, the phone will be released in only two primary color options – black and white. Also, Google claims that the Pixel Fold’s official release date is scheduled for May 2023 and its official price in the United States will be set at $1,799.

Overall, the Google Pixel Fold’s design is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy Fold 4, but the top and bottom bezels are much more prominent than its South Korean rival. As such, only the secondary display on the outside has a centered punch-hole that allegedly houses the 9.5-megapixel selfie camera. Finally, the triple camera on the back is housed in a viewfinder-like camera bump that clearly follows the Pixel 7 Pro’s unique design language. The fingerprint sensor is said to be integrated into the power button on the side, and the Google Pixel Fold is likely to have speakers on both the bottom and top. While Prosser leaks may seem very plausible, they should still be treated with some skepticism.
