Samsung is working hard to expand the availability of OneUI 5.0 for its smartphone lineup. The company started rolling out the first stable update for the Galaxy S22 series last month and has since rolled out software for some older flagships and mid-range devices. Samsung has now released the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro.
According to Sammobile, the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro is getting the One UI 5 update with firmware version G736BXXU1BVK2. The update includes new Android 13 features but not the November 2022 security patch. The software is currently rolling out in European countries and we can expect updates to roll out to other countries soon.
If you have a Galaxy XCover 6 Pro in Europe, keep an eye out for OTA notification. Samsung will likely release the update gradually, and it may take a few days before the update is available to everyone. Users will be able to download the update by going to Settings, selecting Software Update, and tapping Download & Install.
Samsung has not publicly announced that the update will be released, so we do not have access to the changelog. We can expect the software to offer all the new features introduced with One UI 5.0. Users should see a slightly redesigned user interface, including an improved color palette feature, larger widgets in the notification area, and more transparent effects.
