For the past six months, the Internet has been actively discussing Xiaomi’s new flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 13. However, all things considered, the company will not be releasing a device with that name.
Photos showing boxes of new products began to appear on Chinese social networks. However, they don’t have the word Xiaomi 13 on them, instead users saw “Xiaomi 14” in the pictures:
It’s not clear why the manufacturers wanted to skip number thirteen. Maybe because the Chinese don’t like the “damn dozen”. Perhaps because of his desire to keep up with Apple and release a smartphone with the number fourteen in his name in 2022.
Insiders have also posted a screenshot showing that the device will indeed be called the Xiaomi 14. The device will run Android 13 with MIUI 14.0.2.0. The flagship will be based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, as well as 12 GB of RAM.
