However, details about these unreleased products continue to surface online. A few days ago, one of the company’s executives had confirmed MIUI 14 support for some older smartphones.

Zhang Guoquan is the director of Xiaomi’s system software department. Responding to a Weibo comment on November 28, the executive confirmed that the MIUI 14 update is available for the Mi 10 series, unfortunately he did not specify the exact models. But I remembered that the update will appear later.

For those who don’t know, the Mi 10 series initially includes five phones namely Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10 Lite, Mi 10 Lite Zoom and Mi 10 Ultra. Judging by the comments below, the boss is most likely talking about the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, but others may receive the update as well.

All these phones were released with Android 10 in 2020. Mi 10 Ultra debuted with MIUI 12, while other models came with MIUI 11. In the last two years, these devices have been updated to Android 11 and Android 12. They also received numerous MIUI updates such as MIUI 12.5, MIUI 12.5. Advanced Version and MIUI 13 .

Thus, MIUI 14 will be the third major software update for these smartphones apart from the Mi 10 Ultra. Unfortunately, we do not think they will receive the Android 13 update as they are not covered by the latest update policy for new models.
