This week, Tecno launched the Tecno Phantom X2 smartphone series in Saudi Arabia. The devices have a unique look with a huge camera and are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipsets. The brand has now shared a post showing that the Tecno Phantom X2 series will be launched soon in India. The brand is promoting smartphones, claiming they come with the world’s first 50MP retractable portrait camera, MediaTek Dimensity 9000 5G Unibody Double-Covered Design processor, and more. The exact launch date is still unknown, but we can expect the Phantom X2 series to debut in India in the coming weeks.

Technical specifications of the Tecno Phantom X2 series

Both Tecno Phantom X2 and Phantom X2 Pro feature a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate and 20:9 aspect ratio. The 10-bit panel with a hole in the center and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus can cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

The smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. It comes with SoC, vapor chamber cooling, LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. On the software front, they run HiOS 12.0 based on Android 12. The devices come with various connectivity options such as dual SIM, 5G, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, GNSS, NFC and USB 2.0. . (Type-C). Interestingly, they don’t have dual stereo speakers, but they do have an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Tecno Phantom X2 Pro Samsung JN1’s 50 MP pop-up portrait camera, which supports 2.5x zoom and has f/1.49 aperture, is the most important selling point of the device. This camera includes a 50MP Samsung GNV main camera and a 13MP Samsung 3L6 ultra-wide camera with macro support. Autofocus is supported by all three cameras. However, not all of them have OIS.

On the other hand, Tecno Phantom X2 has 64MP Samsung GWB primary camera with OIS, 13MP ultra-wide camera with macro support and 2MP depth sensor. Both devices have a 32 MP selfie camera and a 5160 mAh battery to power it. Last but not least, they provide 45W fast wired charging.
