Some iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max owners have encountered a strange issue with their device. Green and yellow horizontal lines periodically appear on the smartphone screen for a while, similar to those that can be seen when the screen is damaged. They are only displayed when the device is turned on – they are not available during normal device operation. Turning on in this case means exiting the inactive mode.

I just bought a new iPhone and noticed that when the phone was turned on there were horizontal lines flashing on the screen. This doesn’t happen every time, it happens randomly. However, I feel this happens more often if the screen turns itself off in inactivity.

I don’t remember seeing these lines until iOS 16.2 but I’ve only had this phone for two weeks. I went to the Reddit forum and five people said they had the same issue, which hopefully means it shouldn’t be a hardware issue.

Some of the victims managed to visit the Apple service center, where the specialist said that there were no problems with the smartphone, but the lines were still preserved even after a complete reset of the smartphone.
