In a research note he wrote for Hong Kong-based investment firm Haitong International Securities, Jeff Pu laid out his expectations for the iPhone 15 series, which he said will include the 6.1-inch iPhone 15, 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus, and a 6.1-inch iPhone 15 series. -inch. iPhone 15 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Pro Max. Specifically, he expects the Pro model to feature titanium bezels and solid-state volume and power buttons with haptic feedback provided by two additional Taptic mechanisms. It also expects the Pro models to have 8GB of RAM, compared to the 6GB of RAM on the iPhone 14 Pro models.

The IT Home report also said that Pu will have the A17 Bionic chip made using a 3 nanometer process by TSMC in the iPhone 15 Pro models, while it expects the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus to have an A16 Bionic chip and 6GB of RAM. According to him, all four models will have a USB-C port and a Qualcomm Snapdragon X70 modem for 5G and LTE.

Pu also expects the telephoto lens of the iPhone 15 Pro Max to feature periscope technology for advanced optical zoom capabilities. As for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, Pu expects a 48-megapixel rear camera lens, just like the iPhone 14 Pro models.

Based on “recent supply chain audits and tech industry insights,” Pu is cautious about the stock prices of many companies in Apple’s supply chain. Pu said Apple’s product development momentum was “weakening” and said he expects shipments of iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch and AirPods to drop year-over-year in 2023.

Jeff Pu also predicts that the 2024 Apple Watch Ultra could be the company’s first smartwatch with a micro-LED display. Pu has a mixed history when it comes to predicting Apple’s future plans.
