It is assumed that a special film with a thickness of only 200 microns will be applied to the screen of the device. The coating will consist of several layers and will protect the screen from damage during assembly. This will prevent the appearance of a fold in the middle of the screen, which is often the “sin” of similar smartphones from other manufacturers.

Rumors that Apple is preparing to launch a foldable iPhone with a flexible display have been circulating in the press for over a year. At the same time, there are no details about the development yet. Samsung representatives previously stated that according to their forecasts, Apple will not enter the complex device market before 2024.
