Several reports claimed it would fail in the second quarter of 2023. However, there were rumors that its launch was delayed. According to new details released by a Chinese whistleblower, the arrival of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra has not been delayed and the company’s internal plan is to schedule its launch no later than April.

The highest available configuration of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra engineering prototype offers 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The same situation is likely to be seen in the final version of the device. As a reminder, at launch, the base model Xiaomi 12S Ultra (8GB RAM + 256GB storage) cost 5,999 yuan (~$887). An insider noted that the price of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra remains the same as the previous generation, with the entry-level variant likely to cost 5,999 yuan (~$887).

Reports on the device have revealed that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will feature an E6 AMOLED display with curved edges. It is expected to protect the 1-inch 50MP Sony IMX989 camera found in the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. It is likely to be powered by the S napdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform.
