Samsung will stop using its own Exynos processors in its flagship smartphones. 9to5Google writes about it.
Last year’s Samsung flagships were produced in two variants: with Qualcomm Snapdragon chips in the US, South Korea and elsewhere, and Samsung’s own Exynos processors in Europe and the UK. According to sources, the new S23 series will be launched in all countries with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 will be the company’s first flagship that does not use an Exynos processor. It is assumed that in the future other smartphones of the company will be produced exclusively on the chips of the American company.
The unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S23 will take place on February 1. There will be three smartphones in the series: S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra. Insiders believe that the new devices will be more expensive than last year’s model.
