Qualcomm introduces Snapdragon X75 5G modem with 10 carrier aggregation

Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon X75 5G modem, the first modem in the world to bring together 10 carriers. The manufacturer himself says that this is the first 5G Advanced ready Modem-RF System. In fact, the modem is truly unique. In addition to the already mentioned feature, it is also distinguished by the presence of its own Qualcomm 5G AI Processor Gen 2 tensor unit to increase efficiency using AI. In addition, the modem offers downstream speeds of up to 10 Gbps for both 5G and Wi-Fi 7.

Qualcomm is also launching a converged receiver for the mmWave and Sub-6 bands, along with new fifth-generation Qualcomm QTM565 antenna modules for mmWave, which reduces cost, board complexity and power consumption. Qualcomm DSDA Gen 2 support allows simultaneous use of 5G/4G Dual Data on two SIM cards.

The Snapdragon X75 5G is expected to be integrated into the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which is expected to arrive earlier than its predecessor last year. In addition, the new modem will probably be used on the iPhone 16 line. In addition to the top modem, Qualcomm also introduced the Snapdragon X72 5G. It also belongs to the Modem-RF family, is equipped with the same tensor block and is generally as similar as the X75 can be, but the download speed is limited to 4.4 Gbps.
