Samsung’s latest updates mainly concern One UI 5.1 based on Android 13 released for Samsung devices. But unusually, the Korean tech giant has released the Android 12 update for one of its smartphones stuck on Android 11.

As he reported sammobile, Samsung Galaxy A03 Core devices have started receiving the Android 12 update with firmware version A032FXXU2BWC3. If the Android 12 update is available for the Galaxy A03 Core, users can download and install the update by tapping the notification or by going to Software Update in the Settings app and selecting Download & Install.

The Galaxy A03 Core is an affordable smartphone with modest specs like less RAM, storage and less advanced cameras. As a result, Samsung has released a simplified version of Android 12 to support the device, as it does not have the necessary hardware for the regular version of Android 12. This new version of Android and One UI has a lightweight design. But upgrading from Android 11 to Android 12 will bring some new features and a refreshed look to the phone.

The Galaxy A03 Core was first released in 2021 and came with Android 11 pre-installed. According to Samsung’s update policy, the phone is supposed to receive three major OS updates, suggesting that it may also get the Android 13 update later.
