A top notch
Motorola Edge 40 Pro stands out in two important points: power and software. The first job is handled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the best processor in the Android market, one of the most efficient parts Qualcomm has ever produced. Motorola itself is responsible for the latter, providing this phone with a practically pure Android and the occasional Moto app to customize the experience.
With its 6.67-inch screen, P-OLED technology, FullHD+ resolution and 165 Hz refresh rate, this last point is a difference from its competitors and a serious leap over the usual 120 Hz. 4,600 mAh with 125 W fast charging and 15W wireless charging, a perfect combination.
The camera section consists of the main sensor + telephoto lens + ultra-wide angle, but we will have to wait for the review to see firsthand how this phone performs in this regard. 5G connectivity couldn’t be missing, come prepared for the WiFi 7 standard
In short, it is a phone that only cuts the screen (p-OLED and FullHD+) compared to its premium class rivals. It remains to be seen how the update rate to the phone will fare, as the Pixel 7 Pro is a missile towards the waterline.
Versions and price of Motorola Edge 40 Pro
Motorola Edge 40 Pro arrives in Spain €899.99 In 256GB + 12GB version. A price that’s relatively far from the best phones of the moment. Given that the only sacrifice (on a technological level) on this phone is the display, it’s an option to consider.
