Samsung Galaxy S23 phones are boring (no offense). Boring in that sense, they’re just as good as Android phones, and the premium Galaxy S23 Ultra is no exception.

Samsung Galaxy S23 phones are boring (no offense). Boring in that sense, they’re just as good as Android phones, and the premium Galaxy S23 Ultra is no exception. The phone is equipped with a premium display, processor and camera. But it’s not perfect. It has a really impressive camera, probably one of the best on the market, but it also has its flaws. First, there is an obvious issue with HRD that worries users. However, Samsung may fix this very soon.
According to Ice Universe, the HDR issue on the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be fixed in a future update. The speaker talks about the Ultra model, but maybe the vanilla S23 and Plus model will also get some improvements. For those who don’t know, the HDR issue on a smartphone camera creates a halo effect around objects, adding an anomalous outline.

Ice Universe did not provide a timeline, but as Samsung releases monthly updates for its phones, we expect this issue to be resolved with the May 2023 security update, which will be released earlier this month.
Previously, Samsung had fixed various camera bugs of the S23 series. With the April 2023 update, the company got rid of several user-reported issues. These include abnormal autofocus when the shutter is pressed, low-light sharpness issues when using Super Balance Mode, green line issues, and more. The brand may also add some new features to the software or fix other known issues.
