According to the manufacturer, Xiaomi Mi Band 7 very different from the previous generation. The device retains the famous design, but now features a 1.62-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 192×490 pixels (326 ppi), covered with tempered 2.5D glass.
For comparison, the Xiaomi Mi Band 6 screen has a diagonal of 1.56 inches and a resolution of 152 × 486 pixels. The maximum brightness has also increased – from 450 to 500 teeth (with the possibility of manual adjustment of the lighting in both cases).
Owners of the bracelet will be able to install more than 100 new dials, including animated ones. Xiaomi reports that using a more powerful processor makes animations smoother. Also, the screen supports the Always-On function, just like in a full-fledged smartwatch. AoD works with both digital and analog dials.
Xiaomi Mi Band 7 also offers up to 120 sports modes, the function of measuring saturation (oxygen saturation) and, of course, a heart rate monitor. The device can be submerged in water up to 50 meters deep, and the bracelet can intelligently recognize four swimming styles.
According to Xiaomi, the tracker will run for up to 15 days (normal use) or up to 9 days (heavy use) without recharging. The capacity of the battery is 180 mAh (on Mi Band 6 – 125 mAh). However, he could not get the long-awaited GPS module, which appeared in some sources, despite the new generation expectations.
The suggested price of the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 in China is set at 249 yuan, which is equivalent to $ 37. From May 31, three versions will be available, differing in the color of the strap, but there will be many more. Interestingly, the included bracelet is antibacterial.
There will also be unusual options with camouflage strips and fluorescent material. Replacing the Mi Band 7 with the NFC module will cost buyers $ 42.
