After a pretty strong 2024 television series, Samsung is already preparing for next year. This part of the company’s business is not usually subject to as many leaks as smartphones, but that does not mean that we have some information about it from time to time.
We have already said that the next year 2025 will be the year of the company’s first 100-inch television, and that this size will be aimed at those who want to have an authentic cinema experience at home. On this occasion, a new leak attracts attention towards the company’s QD-OLED panelsSome suggest Samsung will continue to bet very heavily.
Odyssey monitors’ QD-OLED panels are making waves
The company’s QD-OLED panel Smart TV lineup is fairly complete. Although it is a South Korean company that produces most of them there is an exception: 83 inch models. Since such large panels of this type have a rather high cost to produce, the company was considering purchasing them directly from LG Display (which is why they are W-OLED, not QD-OLED).
Thanks to a post on Reddit (via AVPasión ), we know that this will change in the next television series. Samsung will start installing its own QD-OLED panels on its 83-inch modelwill be added to the existing 55, 65 and 77 inches.
The leak is also complemented by an ‘surveillance’ by Samsung itself. On the official Samsung Germany spare parts page, the next S95F is already listed, which will be the model in which the panel in question will be installed. As can be seen in the image below, Two 83-inch models will be together: one with W-OLED panel (QE83S95FAEXXU) and the other with Samsung QD-OLED panel (Q383S95FATXXU).
It is not strange that the same model has two different panels, something that also happens in their galaxy (some devices released with different processors). What is clear is that there is one more step to becoming self-sufficient in the production of QD-OLED panels, because this way Samsung will have produced almost every diagonal.
This is further proof of how confident Samsung is in QD-OLED technology. It cannot surprise us: Odyssey gaming monitors that use it are among the best on the market. The Odyssey OLED G8 is the best example of this; 4K monitor with massive refresh rate that takes video games to another level.
