The Korean brand has some of the most interesting models in its catalog with 8K resolution, but with high-flying features that are hard to exploit as there is (almost) no content that takes advantage of them. Almost four years after launching their first 8K TV, Samsung users in Germany will be able to access official content in 8K resolution. something It will come true thanks to collaboration with Sky.

Das Boot 8K will be available in Samsung’s TV Plus app, but only users from the German country will be able to access it and only on models released in 2020, 2021 and 2022. If you bought a Samsung 8K Smart TV in 2018 or 2019, you won’t be so lucky.

To take advantage of this pixel representation, Samsung recommends an Internet connection of at least 40 Mbps. Regarding other data, it has not been announced whether they will adopt the HEVC or AV1 compression system or have HDR support.
