The company’s management claims that it is no longer possible for Nokia to continue its presence in the Russian Federation. Delivery suspended. Research in Russia was also stopped. This is the complete withdrawal of Nokia from the Russian market.
“Nokia’s continued presence in Russia is impossible. In recent weeks, we have cut resources, closed new businesses and moved our limited research activities outside of Russia. We can now announce exit from the Russian market. The safety and health of our employees remains our priority during this process.”
But Nokia does not plan to abandon its Russian users even after its launch. Technical support will be provided. The same probably applies to network maintenance. At the very least, the company will apply for a license to provide such support under Western sanctions.
