Hear the sounds of space captured by the James Webb Telescope.

This Tuesday (31) NASA released some of the sounds recorded by the James Webb Telescope.

Yes that’s right! In addition to images, James Webb is able to collect various information from space, including sounds.

This is actually a slightly different process and serves a noble purpose: image evaluation for the visually impaired. The process is performed as a “translation” which converts the captured recordings into audio.

These compositions provide another way of perceiving the information detailed in the first Webb data. Just as written descriptions are unique translations of visual patterns, meanings also translate visual patterns by encoding information such as color, brightness, star positions, or signs of water absorption such as sounds.said Kuen Hart, senior scientist at the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. “Our teams strive to make astronomy accessible to everyone.

This is a pretty cool addition to the recording capabilities that the James Webb telescope can do. Which doesn’t make its main function of creating images any less great, as it provides us with beautiful photographs and a lot of information so that scientists can study and better understand the universe.
