A ASUS announced last Monday, the 15th, the launch ZenScreen MB16QHG, a 16-inch portable monitor with an IPS WQXGA (2560 x 1600) panel and 120Hz SmoothMotion technology, which the company says delivers a smooth and responsive display. There is still no initial market forecast.

The monitor supports DisplayHDR™ 400 compliant High Dynamic Range (HDR) and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut for vibrant colors and high contrast. Along with that, one of the highlights of the device is its viewing versatility.

The MB16QHG comes with a foldable stand and is equipped with ASUS DisplayWidget Center, which automatically detects device orientation and switches between landscape and portrait modes. In addition, connectivity offers USB-C® ports on both sides and an HDMI input for greater compatibility with other devices such as consoles.

The ZenScreen’s portability has also been praised by the manufacturer, as it weighs 1.2kg and has an ultra-thin 7mm profile around the edges.

The panel specs, colors and resolutions provide “exceptional” contrast according to ASUS and “rich colors” added to the 178º viewing angle. The brand also included ASUS Ultra-Low Blue Light technology in the device, which reduces potentially harmful blue light emissions.

Other additional features of the MB16QHG include a blue light filter and Flicker-Free technology to make sure you spend many hours comfortably in front of the screen, whether it’s work or school.

ASUS hasn’t announced a release date for the monitor or a starting price. Given that the manufacturer is from Taiwan, it will probably arrive in Asia first, and then in North America and the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region; it is not known when Brazil will be considered.
