What’s new in MIUI 13.5

• In this version, developers add custom animation speed controllers. Animation speed can be changed in three modes. Minimalism, balance, elegance. Minimalism means high speed, at which animation will be almost invisible. Balance means standard speed. Elegance is slow where you can appreciate all the movements on the screen.
• Pop-ups also got a new animation and look. Now they are located in the middle of the screen, in the current version they are attached to the bottom. Although the company says that it is moving towards making the smartphone easier to use in this way, this is likely to negatively affect one-handed ease of use.

• After the update is launched, the gallery will also have an improved interface. Added batch conversion of JPG to a single PDF file, in addition to the new features in the pop-up and “Creativity” section separated from the bottom of the screen. • New filters will appear in the built-in photo editor.
• QR code and document scanner will receive minor changes to the interface. Submenus lose icons.
• The status bar (clock bar, battery, and notifications bar at the top of the screen) will now display an NFC icon so you can quickly see if it’s turned on.
• The update will turn off the screenshot feature by pressing the volume and power buttons. This key is now locked.
• Notes will get a new interface. The program will now show all the folders at the top and this will make them easier to access.

Minor changes to the camera app have also been announced.
