Google Tasks is one of those applications that has always been there, but as if they weren’t, because unlike what happens with many corporate utilities, those that boast first-class design and functionality at zero cost (unless you don’t care, that Google sucks your personal information like a vampire sucking the throat of its victims, of course), Google’s tasks were the worst, the worst.
But that’s the key, in It was, and the fact is that because it’s more than just a horrible Gmail plugin, the company finally decided to take advantage of the potential of Google Tasks a few years ago, and except that data is declining, allowing anyone to have a Google Account. With apps like the one on hand for free, everything has changed for the better. Much better, even if it takes longer than desired.
A) Yes, Google Tasks was resurrected in 2018 with a refined design and a very simple and useful independent application for Android, but in comparison with what the competition offers, in the functions considerably limited. Without going further, Microsoft ToDo is much more advanced than Google Tasks, although in favor of the latter, it must be said that Google, unlike Microsoft, did not limit itself to buying one of the best applications in its category.
By no means is this an excuse for the slow development of Google Tasks it still lacks common features mostly in other payment applications, but it’s time to repeat what Google is, not a small company that lives only on its product and since it feeds on user data, what less than to give back the best, as they do for example Gmail .
On the contrary, it was only last year that they finalized the application’s interface, took advantage of the fact that Material Design was updated on Android and the web, and then came interesting modifications that made it easier to use on Android, but also on the web, where they are Google Tasks by simply comparing Gmail and Google Calendar, pushed to the annoying and inflexible sidebar.
In fact, the implementation described contrasts with the integration between applications, which is much better achieved and allows all reminders recorded in Google Tasks to also appear in Google Calendar. In addition, all the detours I’m talking about about the new Google Tasks feature are justified, because what comes next could already be done … in the craziest way.
Task application without repetitive tasks? Google Tasks. Until recently, the only way to fix repetitive tasks was: tasks that never end end on a specific date or after a specified number of iterations (this last option was already available) in Google Tasks it was done through Google Calendar, as Google explains on the Workspace blog, but this limitation will soon disappear.

Over the next two weeks, as long as the update is effective for all Google Workspace users and subsequently Google Tasks, anyone will be able to add and edit recurring tasks from the same application, as shown in the sample image. A small but vital feature for any confident task application that Google Tasks completes with this update.
