Zora, the platform for the sale of non-tradable tokens, has attracted $50 million in investment. The round was led by Haun Ventures, a venture capital firm founded by former Andreessen Horowitz (16z) general partner Kathy Haun.

The startup will use the funds to accelerate the development of an open infrastructure for NFT projects and expand collaboration with teams in the field. Zora also plans to increase the number of grants and hackathons allocated.

“Haun Ventures is dedicated to supporting the teams that make the internet a better place. This means more networking, creativity, security and accountability than the previous version. Sam Rosenblum, partner at venture capital firm NFT, at the center of the internet’s future It’s the main building block,” he said.

In December 2021, Haun left a16z for his own Web 3.0 focused project. While Haun Ventures plans to raise $900 billion in two mutual funds, it was learned that the fund volume reached $1.5 billion in March.

Rosenblum said the Zora funding round was the first round led by the firm.

“We’ve only seen the tip of the NFT iceberg in Web 3.0, and we believe Zora will become one of the most important protocols (and DAOs) as the NFT ecosystem and use cases expand significantly in the coming years,” he said.

Recall that in April 2021, the startup raised $8 million from five anonymous investors.
