TikTok is testing a chatbot with artificial intelligence “Tako”

Social network TikTok is testing “Tako,” an artificial intelligence chatbot that can talk to users about short videos and help them find content.

This was reported by Reuters, Ukrinform reports.

TikTok says Tako should help users find “fun and inspiring content” on the app.

Earlier, Israeli company Watchful Technologies said it found Tako in some versions of the TikTok app on Apple Inc’s mobile devices. The chatbot resides in the TikTok interface in the form of a ghostly icon that users can click while watching a video to have text chats and get help finding content.

Last month, TikTok filed to register its trademark “TikTok Tako” with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in categories that include “computer software for artificial reproduction of human speech and text.”

“We’re experimenting with new ways to search and discover on TikTok in select markets, and look forward to hearing from our community as we continue to create a safe place that entertains, inspires creativity and nurtures culture,” a company spokesperson said. .

As Ukrinform reports, Montana Governor Greg Gianforte has signed a law banning the Chinese company TikTok from operating in the province to protect residents from the alleged collection of intelligence data by China.
