On behalf of Synology, we have three high-end storage servers that we can give away for testing. After the test period, the devices can be purchased with a 50 percent discount or the device can be picked up again.
Would you like to try a high-end storage server in your company with no obligation to buy? Synology is making three devices available to ITdaily readers to get them started. After a test phase of one month (or longer, on request), the editors will contact you to collect the advantages and disadvantages as well as your general experiences with the storage server. We also make a video on site to capture your opinion.
Especially nice: Thanks to Synology, the three selected organizations can optionally purchase the device with a 50 percent discount after the test. Are you not interested after the test phase or do you temporarily have no budget? That’s fine too, then the device will be picked up again after the jointly agreed test period has expired.
What devices does Synology offer?
With 60 slots in a 4U rackmount chassis and support for 300 drives (with expandability), Synology HD6500 is the ideal compact storage solution for large-scale storage of active and inactive data, including full system backups, video post-production, and large-scale surveillance systems.
On board we find two 10-core Intel Xeon Silver CPUs and 64 GB of DDR4 ECC memory, expandable up to 512 GB. The Synology HD6500 delivers over 6,688 MB/s and 6,662 MB/s in sequential read and write.
The HD6500 is designed to maintain access to business-critical data and services, allowing organizations to continue operations even in the event of a disaster.

Inside is an 8-core Intel Xeon chip paired with 16GB of DDR4 ECC memory, expandable up to 128GB. The system delivers over 6,200 MB/s and 3,000 MB/s for sequential read and write, integrated 10 GbE and hardware and software redundancy.
Protect your data and use hardware and software protection solutions to ensure the availability of data and services in the event of a disaster or attack.
The Synology SA3410 costs 5,882 euros without VAT. All information about the device can be found here.
Combine all-flash performance with the ease of use and reliability of Synology systems. Synology FS3410 is designed for scenarios that require high capacity and low latency.
Flash storage is supported by an 8-core Intel Xeon chip and 16GB of DDR4 ECC memory (expandable to 128GB). The FS3410 supports a variety of network interfaces, protocols, and configurations, whether you need high-speed sequential transmission, support for concurrent connections, or high network redundancy.
The high-end flash server Synology FS3400 costs 6,249 euros without VAT. More information about the device can be found here.
For this test panel, we are looking for larger medium-sized companies or companies from the enterprise segment who would like to put one of the above-mentioned high-end storage servers through their paces. Write a short motivation below why you want to test such a server.
The deadline for self-registration is June 2nd. On this day we select the testers and agree with them where the device can be sent.
Much luck!
