TCL unveils its new 47.5-inch screen for cars

A TKL participates in Show week – 2023 and took advantage of the event to show off his new 47.5 inch car screen, which promises to be a better solution than previous technologies because it has only one panel. This novelty has mini led matrix, resolution up to 8K and touch support throughout the display, making it easier for the user to use.

At present, some of the main screen vehicles have a separate display design, such as the 56-inch screen used in Mercedes EX This ECO, representing the junction of three screens. This solution provides more interior design flexibility, but comes with some touch and cost issues. To avoid these problems, the Chinese manufacturer has built a model with a single 1.4-meter screen equipped with 4200R curved glass and touch sensitivity throughout the display.

A TKL emphasizes that this display supports multiple use, while the driver and passenger can easily view the information in the system at the same time. Thanks to this, as well as the vertical design that occupies the entire panel of the car, the company’s new model promises to be the ideal solution for the infotainment system of the vast majority of cars.

The display is designed mini LED with 3000 local dimming zones and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, which promises good visibility and contrast even in sunlight. In terms of reproduction, the model will have 8K native resolutionHow ArenaEV indicating that this is the highest resolution in the automotive industry.

The portal also specifies that since the screen is continuous, it must have Cost reduction compared to other modelssuch as displays used Mercedes. But, despite the good idea, the site still points out that the problem with using a single display is redundancy, because if the digital panel fails, the user will be left without important information about the vehicle, such as its speed.

A TKL did not disclose which manufacturer should be the first to use its 47.5-inch car screen. But with the popularization of cars with digital panels, we should soon know the first model with such a display.
