The Acer Swift Edge 16 is a new ultraportable computer that the Taiwanese firm unveiled at the gates of Computex 2023, and it is promoted as ultralight for professionals or dynamic users who require high computing capacity, productivity and portability.
The new product from Acer is a full-fledged ultraportable. with magnesium chassis extremely thin (12.95 mm) and light (1.23 kg). Not bad at all considering your screen is a 16-inch OLED with high native resolution, 3.2K for 3200 x 2000 pixels.

The screen is one of the main components of this model thanks to the support of 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, a response time of 0.2 ms and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The contrast ratio is 1,000,000:1, its maximum brightness is 500 nits, and it is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified. It is also TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe certified, which minimizes blue light exposure for more comfort during extended viewing.
Acer chose Ryzen 7000 Mobile processors along with AMD graphics from the Radeon 780M series as the hardware basis of this model. It is complemented by up to 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 2 TB of storage with PCIe Gen4 SSD. To highlight the security section with the chip Microsoft Pluto and a fingerprint reader that supports Windows Hello biometric authentication.
It includes a full-sized keyboard and various ports, two USB Type-A, two 65W USB 4 Type-C PD with fast charging and display, HDMI 2.1 and a microSD card reader. However, the big innovation in connectivity comes from the latest version of the wireless standard Wi-Fi 7 is starting to appear on the market.

The Acer Swift Edge 16 will pre-install Windows 11 and will be available in EMEA from July for a price €1,199. Perfectly tuned for what this ultraportable has to offer, with an OLED display, a thin and light premium chassis and the latest AMD Mobile processors.
