For classical music lovers, Apple Music Classical is coming to Android

Following the acquisition of the classical music streaming service Primephonic by apple in 2021, the company announced plans to launch a classical music app by the end of last year. However, Apple delayed its launch by a few months and only released a standalone iPhone app in March.

To access Apple Music Classical, you must subscribe to Apple Music or Apple One. The app offers ad-free classical music recordings with sound quality up to 192kHz/24bit, as well as thousands of recordings with support for spatial audio. In addition, it saves detailed Primephonic music metadata, making it easy to navigate through the vast library.

The launch of Apple Music Classical for Android surpassed the availability of the company’s iPad and Mac-optimized app. This was because Primephonic already had an app for that operating system, and the new Apple Music Classical will simply replace the previous app, as 9to5Mac highlighted.
