Now the most popular browser in the world can not only report that some of the saved passwords have been compromised, but also solve this problem automatically. The user only needs to press one “magic” button.

Google has long begun to warn users if any of Chrome’s saved passwords are insecure or in the public domain. Previously, to solve this problem, you had to manually visit each site or application, changing the compromised password in it. Now this process has been automated.

Google Chrome has learned to automatically change compromised…

If Chrome detects that one of the passwords should be changed to a stronger one, the user will be prompted to do so automatically with just one button press. This feature is implemented on the basis of the Google Assistant virtual assistant and Google Duplex technology.

By agreeing to the automatic password change, Google Assistant will open the corresponding site. Next, the user needs to give permission to replace the compromised password with a new one – more reliable and secure. The change will be saved in Google’s password manager, so you don’t have to remember anything.

The feature is currently only available on Android and certain regions.
