This was reported by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), as reported by Ukrinform.
According to NASA, the length of the celestial body is about 61 meters.
The distance from it to the Earth will be about 4.5 million km. The speed of the asteroid is recorded as 36,360 km per hour.
It’s worth noting that if an asteroid approaches Earth at a distance of less than 7.4 million km and its size is greater than 150 m, NASA considers it a “potentially dangerous object.” However, the 2023 KW2 is not considered “potentially dangerous” as it does not meet both criteria at the same time.
As reported by Ukrinform, the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) reported that the 2023 HT4 asteroid passed close to Earth on Friday, May 12.
