The chip giant has confirmed that it will celebrate Intel Innovation on September 19. This event is one of the most important within the general consumer market, because in it we will find out the most important news of upcoming products that Santa Clara plans to launch.
Among the most important innovations we hope to see at the said event, the new Core Gen14 desktop processors undoubtedly stand out. According to the latest information we have seen, everything indicates that Intel will not end up releasing desktop versions of Meteor Lake and that it would fill the gap with processors Intel Raptor Lake Refresh.
That would be a pitcher of cold water, because in the end, Meteor Lake represents a big generational leap both in terms of manufacturing process (Intel 4) and in terms of IPC, since it uses new architectures in high-performance and high-efficiency cores. Unfortunately, it is becoming increasingly clear that this generation will be exclusively for small and compact laptops and computers.
