Remember the old saying that Internet Explorer was only good for downloading Firefox? Variants could be read with other browsers, but the joke was understandable: Internet Explorer was the default Windows browser, but it was so hated and had so little to contribute that many users only opened it once to download their favorite browser to close it definitively and without any sign of return, even stand up and give him another chance.
For many users, Microsoft Edge serves the same purpose: download your favorite browser and say goodbye. The reason is obvious: everyone uses what they want, and Microsoft Edge has replaced Internet Explorer as the default web browser for Windows you have to deal with him yes or yes, even once… Or so it is for many, even though it might not be the case today.
Today, just open the Microsoft Store and install the browser you like from there: Firefox, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi… All are available in the Windows app store, except for Chrome. So to download Chrome you need to have the first browser installed unless it is an OEM device with Chrome pre-installed. But let’s not get confused that it doesn’t work out that way on this occasion.

In reality though there are similarities between Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge because of the web it occupies and because of how he occupies it, he often abuses his dominant position, there is also a difference. The main, most prominent one is that Microsoft Edge is an excellent browser. In terms of stability, performance, security and most of all on a practical level, it is light years ahead of what IE was and directly competes with the best in the business.
Yes, it is to blame for the privacy issues and the aforementioned abuse of Microsoft’s position, which it shamelessly applies to Windows users. But to ignore these two flaws, which can also be attributed to Chrome, which sins in the same or almost the same way in terms of privacy, that it is omnipresent in ChromeOS for obvious reasons, and that the monopoly issue is not much to discuss… There is little or nothing for the browser to envy Google, excluding Google’s market share.
What is this about? Because the Microsoft Edge Twitter account shared a meme that clearly shows, even though it still happens, that the internet is only used to download Firefox, now better known as Microsoft Edge is only used to download Chrome, is not supported. And while the reflection in the background has its benefits, and that’s why we did it… This is just a bit of humor, so take it. Just one question: do you agree?
