Kaczynski, who made and shipped many of his pumps while living in a primitive cabin with no running water in rural Montana, was Found dead in a North Carolina prison.

This Harvard University student attacked academics, scientists and computer shop owners and even tried to blow up a commercial airliner in a campaign of personal terror between 1978 and 1995 against what he believed to be troubles of modern technology.
For years, he deceived the police, who, having no reliable knowledge of the killer’s identity, called his case UNAB (University and Aircraft Bombings). In September 1995, Kaczynski released a rambling 35,000-word manifesto to the media entitled “Industrial society and its future”.
Kaczynski’s younger brother, David, told police that the author’s ideas were similar to Ted’s. The agents arrested the sleazy The Unabomber in her cabin in April 1996.
Giving up their lawyers’ attempts to plead insanity, Kaczynski pleaded guilty all federal charges related to the 1998 bombings, and a California court sentenced him to four life terms plus 30 years in prison.
Described by the FBI as a “twisted genius aspiring to be the perfect anonymous killer,” Kaczynski was sent to ADX Florence, a “maximum security” prison in Colorado. In 2021, he was transferred to central North Carolina.

Theodore John Kaczynski was born on May 22, 1942 in Chicago to a Polish-American working class family. Was a bright and calm boy who graduated from school at the age of 15 and received a scholarship to Harvard University, where he studied mathematics.
Dale Eikelman, a friend of Kaczynski during his school years, told the newspaper Daily Southtown from Chicago after Kaczynski’s arrest: “He was not exactly sociable, but very eloquent.”
I remember Ted was very good in chemistry (…). I remember how Ted knew how to collect things like batteries, wires, potassium nitrate and all that and create explosions,” he said at the age of 12 and 13.
Although it is not known exactly what led Kaczynski to use his natural talents for evil, his participation in infamous Harvard science experiment could be one of the reasons.
There, psychologists subjected student volunteers, including Kaczynski, to hours of bullying. verbal abuse and extreme emotionality as part of an attempt to measure how people deal with stress. The experiment, now considered unethical, lasted three years.
Others cite a period in Kaczynski’s childhood when he was isolated for long periods due to severe urticaria. (Reuters)
