Access to several Swiss government websites was lost due to an alleged cyberattack by Russian hacker group NoName.
This was announced on the website of the country’s Federal Council, as reported by Ukrinform.
Various websites of Swiss Federal Administration and country-related businesses were attacked by DDoS. The Swiss government website is also not accessible.
The Russian hacker group NoName claimed responsibility for the cyber attack.
The Swiss National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) is currently analyzing the attack together with the administrative units and determining the necessary measures to overcome its consequences.
As Ukrinform reported, on May 5, Russian hackers from the same group disabled the website of the French Senate.
In early April, the NoName group made attempts to “degrade or destroy” critical infrastructure in Great Britain.
