The theory that Pharaoh Tutankhamun died as a result of an accident while “driving a car” while intoxicated has been the subject of research. This new theory sparked controversy among Egyptologists and provided a new perspective on the cause of death of the famous pharaoh.
Biomedical Egyptologist Sophia Aziz suggested that Tutankhamun died in a high-speed car accident caused by his drunken state. His research also shows that the pharaoh led an active lifestyle, as evidenced by the breastplate and armor found in his tomb.
But other experts disagree with this theory and point out that previous studies have revealed pathologies in Tutankhamun’s legs that immobilized him. It has also been suggested that the pharaoh may have been on the move even with these problems.
“When examining Tutankhamun’s CT scans, I found no evidence of ankle arthritis where walking had a long-term effect on the body. Sahar Salim, professor of radiology and mummy specialist at the University of Cairo, said, “Therefore, the presence of this mild deformity (clubfoot) was for the pharaoh. “I don’t think it causes significant gait disturbances,” he said.
There is currently no concrete answer as to the cause of Tutankhamun’s death. DNA research may help solve this mystery, but previous limited studies of ancient DNA have not provided a clear answer.
Information about Tutankhamun’s internal organs was also not examined due to data loss during the autopsy of the body in 1925. Therefore, the exact cause of his death is unknown and we may never get the full answer.
