The most common iris color on the planet is brown. So, most people in the world have brown eyes. What about the rarest eye color?
There are several contenders for the rare eye color title. A study conducted by the American Academy of Ophthalmology in 2014 revealed that only 9% of people have green eyes. However, 1% of people reported that their eye color was not brown, hazel, blue or green. Albinism is an even rarer condition: it occurs in 1 in 20,000 people. Because of this, people’s eyes may turn pink or red.
