Today, Google announced several new features available or made available in the Chrome app for iPhone and iPad, including deeper integration with Google Maps, Google Calendar, and Google Lens.

Chrome for iOS now uses artificial intelligence to detect addresses on web pages and display the location directly in the Google Maps app in Chrome, so you don’t have to switch apps to see map-related information for a search term.

Google Calendar events can be created directly in Chrome without changing apps. Chrome users can press and hold the detected date and select the option to add it to Google Calendar. Chrome will automatically create a calendar event and fill it with time, location and description.

Google has expanded the translation features in Chrome and you can now highlight a specific snippet and long press to get the translation directly in the Chrome browser.

With the upcoming deeper Google Lens integration, Chrome users can use the camera to search for new images and images in the camera roll to identify plants, translate languages, and more. A lens icon appears in the address bar of Chrome on iOS.
