Managed by Invest Ottawa in partnership with Canadian robotics company InDro Robotics, the DARTT (Drone and Advanced Robotic Testing and Training) Zone will allow innovators and companies to extensively test and demonstrate the capabilities of air and ground robotics innovations before they hit the market.
Dart is said to be a high-tech space and includes a specialized infrastructure that subjects air and ground vehicles to rigorous tests and challenges in mixed terrain and a variety of weather conditions to evaluate and improve their performance, safety and market readiness.
“These technologies (drones and robots – ed.) help solve global problems, provide new opportunities and increase productivity and safety. Michael Tremblay, CEO of Invest Ottawa, said the new DARTT region allows innovators and companies to commercialize new robotic solutions, private pilot training and It will help them get their certificates,” he said.
As Ukrinform reports, Israeli startup Verobotics has developed an artificially intelligent robot that cleans skyscrapers’ windows.
