The war between billionaires

It all started with Musk’s reaction to a message from Meta company about Twitter’s rival, Channel 24 writes. According to recent reports, Meta’s chief product officer Chris Cox apparently said at a developer meeting that the company had heard from creators and public figures “that they were interested in having a smartly managed platform,” hinting at a tweet earlier today. Later, another Twitter user joked that Musk should be careful, as Zuckerberg is reportedly practicing the Japanese martial art of jiu-jitsu.

And although it all started as a joke, Mark Zuckerberg unexpectedly agreed to duel! He shared a screenshot of Musk’s tweets on his Instagram Story, asking him to post where the fight will take place.

Later, The Verge’s editor, Alex Heath, tweeted a post where he “confirmed that Mark Zuckerberg is serious about the fight” and is waiting for details should Musk decide to see the matter through to the end.

Ilon did not hesitate to answer:

“Vegas Octagon. I have a great move that I call Mors, where I lie on the opponent and do nothing”Musk wrote later.

To understand the context of this answer, it’s worth noting that 51-year-old Elon Musk has significantly more weight and physical size than Zuckerberg. In the past, he has also talked about getting involved in “really tough street fights” while growing up in South Africa. Meanwhile, 39-year-old Zuckerberg is an avid MMA fighter who has already won Jiu-Jitsu tournaments. He also claims to have recently completed a tough “Murph Challenge” workout in just under 40 minutes.

So the web – journalists and casual users – have already begun to predict and bet on who will win in this undoubtedly iconic duel … until Elon Musk’s mother, May Musk, suddenly intervenes.

Musk may ban fighting

On June 22, May Musk posted some kind of statement on the situation on her Twitter:

“No kidding. Just fight with words. Sit on chairs. 4 meters apart. The funniest wins.”

Then, on June 23, another tweet from Musk’s mother came:

“Anyway, I canceled the fight. I haven’t told them yet. But just in case, I’ll keep telling them that the fight is cancelled.”– May Musk added to her son’s post: “Mother! Cut it out!”.

an old enmity

It’s worth noting that there has been a long-standing misunderstanding between Musk and Zuckerberg:

• In 2016, Facebook was still trying to launch its own communications satellite. For this, they chose the Falcon 9 rocket from SpaceX.
