An Australian project management company sued Twitter Inc. filed a lawsuit against him. The firm claims outstanding invoices of approximately A$1 million ($665,000) for work done in four countries.
As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by Reuters.
Sydney-based private equity firm Facilitate Corp filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on June 29, alleging Twitter breached contract by failing to pay bills, according to a court filing.
Facilitate said between 2022 and early 2023, Twitter installed sensors at its offices in London and Dublin, completed the hardware of its Singapore office, and vacated its Sydney office.
“Twitter owed the company about £203,000, S$546,600 and A$61,300 for these jobs, respectively,” Facilitate said.
The company said it is asking for an amount to be determined in court, as well as legal costs and interest at the maximum legal rate.
The publication states that in 2023, two more lawsuits were filed against Twitter for non-payment of bills.
In addition, Crown Estate, an independent for-profit company that manages monarchy-owned real estate, took legal action in January for allegedly failing to pay the rent of Twitter’s London headquarters.
As reported by Ukrinform, Twitter owner Elon Musk said that the social network has temporarily restricted users from viewing the number of posts per day.
