It was captured at UGC 11860 in 2014 by the Brutus robotic telescope, which studies transient astronomical events (astronomical objects that can only be seen for a short time).
Two different groups of astronomers used Hubble’s Wide Field Camera 3 to study the aftermath and reveal the remnants of a major cosmic explosion.
The image shows the center of the galaxy glowing with warm colors and has two spiral arms surrounded by bright star forming spots.
