Police officers from Santa Clara County, California, on Tuesday, June 4, arrested Alejandro Garcia-Villanueva, suspected of hit a fan belonging mexican team during the Tricolor match against Qatar at the Levi Stadium.

The footage shows the alleged assailant being escorted by a woman whom the state police believe did not commit a criminal offense and was released.

A Santa Clara County Superior Court judge authorized an arrest warrant and a search warrant for the suspect at his home. The local police complied with the order and arrested Garcia-Villanueva.

“At 7:30 p.m. (local time), Sacramento Police Department detectives contacted suspect Garcia-Villanueva at the 3300 block of 22nd Avenue in Sacramento. Suspected Garcia-Villanueva surrendered and was arrested without incident. Detectives also contacted suspect Garcia-Villanueva. Police detectives have issued a search warrant for suspect Garcia-Villanueva’s home and found evidence.”

Police detectives from the Santa Clara Police Department took Garcia-Villanueva into custody and he was sent to Santa Clara County Main Jail for a new criminal case.
