The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, one of the most anticipated mobile devices, has been the subject of a major leak this week. A Reddit user has shared images of the device revealing the details of the design and functionality of the new model.

The leaked photos show the device from different angles, highlighting the three rear-facing cameras and a separate flash. We also captured the front display in the off state and the bottom view of the fully folded device.

Additional images show the device turned on with illuminated screens, showing a somewhat washed out wallpaper on the large internal display and dots of a lock pattern on the right. One notable feature is the under-display selfie camera.

The leaked photos show the Fold 5’s display lid, back, and a redesigned hinge that now allows the device to close completely. While the overall look remains the same, attentive observers will notice minor changes to the rear camera setup, including a larger lens protrusion and a separate LED flash.

Another image shows the front of the device with the screen on, showing that the photo was taken on July 10th. The photos show a small gap between the two display surfaces when folded, similar to what you can find in photos of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 model.

The leaked images show a black device with a sticker on the back that reads “Confidential” in large letters and explicitly states that unauthorized use is prohibited. The irony is that the photos were leaked despite the Do Not Disclose warning.

Recent reports have already shown device configurations

Regardless of the opinions about the leaks, the Samsung Unpacked event is approaching, expected at the end of July, when the official presentation of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will finally take place.

Reports suggest upgrading to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip for Galaxy for faster and more efficient performance as well as fast UFS 4.0 storage. The device is expected to feature a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
